Digital Forensics & eDiscovery Recruitment

Digital evidence, eDiscovery, incident response and cyber-investigations talent for consulting, law and in-house teams.

The Market

Where this practice sits today.

Digital forensics and eDiscovery underpin nearly every major dispute and investigation. Growing data volumes, cloud complexity and cross-border discovery requirements have made senior capability structurally scarce. Consulting firms are building out specialist practices; banks, law firms and large technology companies are growing in-house digital-evidence teams.

Investment capital is concentrating in the sector. Chainalysis has raised over USD 536 million in total funding, peaking at a USD 8.6 billion valuation in its 2022 Series F [1] [2]. TRM Labs closed a USD 70 million Series C at a USD 1 billion valuation in February 2026 [3] [4]. The eDiscovery segment recorded 21 M&A transactions in 2025 alone as platform consolidators acquired point solutions [5].

Blockchain forensics is the sharpest niche shortage - specialist practitioners remain scarce for mid-senior positions. Big-Four cyber practices including Deloitte are actively recruiting Cyber Forensic Analysts for cryptocurrency investigation roles requiring hands-on experience with Chainalysis, TRM Labs or Elliptic [6].

Incident response and cyber-investigations practitioners remain in particular short supply. We source across the full stack: senior leaders setting up new practices, specialist project managers, and highly-credentialed technologists comfortable under cross-examination.

Candidate Profile

Who we look for.

Computer science, engineering or forensic-technology backgrounds. Practitioners commonly hold GCFA, GCFE, CCE, EnCE or CEH credentials, supplemented by vendor certifications on the tools they use daily.

Deep experience with EnCase, FTK, Nuix, Relativity, Cellebrite, X-Ways, AWS / Azure forensics platforms, and increasingly Chainalysis, TRM Labs and Bitquery for cryptoasset tracing. Prior work at consulting firms, specialist digital-evidence practices or in-house at banks and tech firms is common.

For senior roles we also look for courtroom or tribunal exposure, a credible track record of written-report defensibility, and the ability to lead multi-jurisdictional review programmes.

Questions we hear

Frequently asked.

Do you recruit incident-response specialists?
Yes. Incident response is one of our most active sub-practices, particularly for in-house cyber teams and consulting IR practices.
Can you source cryptoasset / blockchain investigators?
Yes. The niche is structurally under-supplied - specialist practitioners remain scarce for mid-senior positions. We maintain a live panel of practitioners with Chainalysis, TRM Labs and Bitquery experience, and are regularly briefed on roles at Big Four cyber practices [6], specialist crypto-tracing firms and in-house at exchanges.
Can you source candidates with specific tool certifications?
Yes. We work from detailed specifications including EnCase, Cellebrite, X-Ways, Nuix, Relativity, and AWS / Azure forensics-platform experience.
Are these roles hybrid-friendly?
Senior roles are generally hybrid or remote-friendly. Incident-response and managed-review leadership roles often require on-call availability and occasional on-site work, particularly during active engagements.
Do you recruit for law firms as well as consulting?
Yes. Law-firm eDiscovery and forensic-technology practices are a growing segment of our mandates, particularly in London and Singapore, where major firms are building in-house digital-evidence capability rather than outsourcing it.
