Who we are.

Search & Counsel is the trading style of Feltan Associates Pte Ltd, a Singapore-registered and licensed executive search business (UEN 202225620G).

Our consultants have spent decades personally building professional relationships within the world’s leading investigations, disputes and intelligence practices. We combine many years of operating experience inside the legal and accountancy professions with a track record of recruiting senior partners, directors, experts and teams for corporates, advisory firms and law firms.

The work sits at the specialist end of executive search: retained, confidential, Director-and-above. Most of what we do is never advertised. Most of our candidates are not on the open market.

How we work

The trust model.

Our clients' trust in us rests on their confidence in our honesty, our knowledge and our capability. Everything else follows from that.

Retained, exclusive and discreet. We take on a mandate only when we believe we can execute it well. We never run two competing searches in the same market at the same time. We do not disclose a candidate’s interest to their current employer. We do not introduce a candidate to a client without the candidate’s explicit, informed permission.

Because of the professional trust we hold within the investigations, disputes and intelligence communities, our clients benefit from intelligence shared with us by our networks - market context that is not written down, an understanding of team dynamics that cannot be captured in a CV, and visibility over practitioners who are not publicly on the market.

We do not shirk the responsibility to give candid advice, client-side or candidate-side, even when that advice is not what the respondent wants to hear. We would rather decline a mandate than accept one we cannot execute with conviction.
